“Cool”bayog City: Things you will not want to miss about Calbayog City

Samar is Philippines’ third largest island and I will not be surprised if you don’t know that. Samar is quite ignored by both local and foreign tourists. But I’m going to tell you this, located in that island is one of the best cities in the archipelago, Calbayog.

Calbayog? Is that a place? I can almost hear you asking that and yes it is. And I’m just about to show you cool facts about this mysterious place

First is its cool cuisine! Delicacies that once tasted will never be forgotten.

Calbayog is well known for its fish products such as dried fish and labtinaw, tinapa in particular is the best-seller. Tinapa is smoked fish and Calbayognons happen to master the process of smoking fishes.

Rice cakes are also in the list. Sarungsong and Puto bongbong being the most well known. These are healthy, tasty and simply awesome snacks.

Do you know Calbayog is called “the city of falls”? If you’re not from Samar, you probably do not. The title is fitting, the city is indeed full of jaw-dropping falls. Tarangban Falls, known as the city’s crown jewel, is one of the finest tourist attractions in the country.

There also great beaches in the city. Malajog and Mondejares beach resorts are commended. These resorts are well developed and are places worth a visit.
